Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Ms A. Hinson.

Get ready to step out into the world with this career and life planning module. Students will develop practical and useful knowledge in career planning and self development to set them up for the future and explore a range of different career pathways. They will also have the option to complete a Gateway placement. 

Students will take part in the Graeme Dingle Foundation’s Career Navigator programme once each week, working alongside mentors to explore different industries and the key skills needed for work.

This module will suit year 12 or 13 students who are aiming to achieve NCEA level 2 and are planning on moving straight into work or a training course when they leave school.

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses. 

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).

All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
