YES Chef - Science and Hospitality

Courses Description

Head of Pathway:

Microorganisms are all around us…they are even found in our food! They can be helpful and harmful and we are going to investigate how they are used to make food -  yoghurt and cheese of course!

We love a good egg and cheese combination, not just for the taste. You will be using knife skills in preparing dishes using eggs and cheese. You will learn fun facts about cheese and eggs. You will plate your food so that you visually taste it before it ever hits your tongue.

This course will empower us all to be creative, analytical and excited about being in the kitchen preparing hygienic, healthy and delicious dishes while understanding and exploring why and how microorganisms can be helpful or harmful!
