Nukunuku - Maori and Social Science

What is migration? Why does it occur worldwide throughout history? What are the reasons people moved through the Pacific? Resource needs and Cultural needs described and explained in the context of Aotearoa.

First ideas will be the stories of how people moved out from Africa, across the world, then moved into the Pacific. Why did they move? How did they move? The focus will then be on moving here - the Pacific is HUGE! All of the land on Earth can fit into it, so how did people get across such a vast ocean? What happened when Maori arrived in Aotearoa? We will explore the great story of peoples with the focus going towards Aotearoa, an amazing journey of discovery.

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
