Physics is Cool - Physics

3PHY2
Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Ms L. Neveling.

Mechanics is at the heart of classical physics and it is the core study of this course. Mechanics also helps us to perfect and explain one of the most glorious winter sports - ice skating.

In this class we will learn the 4 key areas of Mechanics for the NCEA level 3 Mechanics paper (6 credits, external), and also how these key ideas are applied in the context of Ice Skating (physics in context internal, 3 credits).

Of course, we will need to go ice skating.

Get your skates on and get ready; physics is cool - ice cool!
