Inspired Movement - Dance

3DAN2
Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Ms R. Eveleigh.

Why is Creativity important? Creativity allows us to view and solve problems more openly and with innovation. Creativity opens the mind.

In dance you will provide a new way of learning, one that develops communication abilities, problem- solving techniques, and creative and critical thinking skills along with kinaesthetic abilities.

Students will develop and resolve their ideas through choreography. Creating a dance that communicates, refines and synthesises ideas in response to a dance question or challenge.

Students will then use their own understanding of choreography to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of and evaluate key aspects of a dance performance, with supporting evidence.

Prerequisite: Students who take trimester 2 should take trimester 3.

NOTE: Dance is a University approved subject.
