Hauora Heroes! Writing & Powering Up Your Health - English and Health

Are you feeling stressed about something? Wondering how to navigate those tricky relationships? This module is your ultimate health toolkit! We'll dive deep into what keeps you feeling awesome, from nailing healthy eating and staying active to mastering the art of chill through stress management. Get ready to explore hot topics like healthy relationships, mental well-being, and making smart choices about substances. In this module you will also have the opportunity to research and explore a topic that is trending amongst our Gen Z. After your research inquiry into a Gen Z topic, you get to write conclusions based on information/data, whilst also expressing your own views. 

We'll even crack the code on deciphering all that health information out there. This module is packed with fun activities, real-life challenges, and epic discussions that will have you feeling empowered and ready to take charge of your Hauora!

We endeavour to run all courses but are subject to minimise class sizes. Maximum class sizes apply. Once a course is full alternative selections are needed.

Course context or content may change by the start of the year.

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses. 

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).

All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
