Ever wanted to see your ideas come alive on stage? Have Your Say is an exciting course that will give you the opportunity to develop your critical thinking and communication skills through the lens of theatre.

What will you learn?

  • Perform a scene from Oscar Kightley's powerful historical drama, Dawn Raids.

  • Develop your understanding of performance techniques through analysis of the play.

  • Craft your own original script that explores a social or cultural issue you're passionate about.

  • Hone your writing skills through script development and analysis (fulfilling NCEA English 2.5 & 2.6).

  • Learn the art of bringing your writing to life on stage (fulfilling NCEA Drama 2.1 requirements).

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses. 
All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
