Courses Description

Whether it's great tasting cakes, decorated cakes, scones or sponges, the baking industry is always evolving. Developing introductory and expanding your skills as a baker you could get a slice of this action.

This module allows bakers and chefs to better understand how the process of aeration techniques has an effect on your cakes, scones and sponges. You will also use the design process to create a simple website to display your recipes, ingredient variations, and images/videos of your baked goods.

Food kitchens and service of a variety of businesses - fast food outlets, chef, restaurant, hospitals, bakery/deli/meat section in supermarkets

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses. 

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).

All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
