Tau’olunga - Tongan Bilingual and Dance
Courses Description
Head of Pathway: Mrs K. Lousi.
In this module students will perform and choreograph a Tongan dance. Students will be able to showcase their creativity and skill. Students will also be able to use their own culture to demonstrate performance skills. Engaging with other styles of Tau’olunga can help unlock a new understanding of how your own body moves and translates movement.
Note: Everyone is welcome to do this module from all cultures.
Assessment Information
Students will do a formative assessment half way through the trimester.FInal performance at the end of the trimester.

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses.
All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
