Have you ever thought of cooking and chemistry in the same breath? Next time you enter the kitchen to eat something, think about how it was made. And also think about how kitchens are a dangerous place… a place of possible murder…
What will you learn?
All about acids and bases and how these impact on the taste of your food. What chemical reactions have to do with cooking. How food can be surprising - and in our English short stories how food can sometimes be a part of a scary story.
In this course you will…
Cook lots of different food and explain the chemistry behind the food. You will even have to do a speech on a type of food and the chemistry involved in making it!

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
