Courses Description

Te Kete Wānanga is all about growing your kete/basket with Te Reo Māori.
Grow your understanding of Te Reo/the language by surrounding yourself in Te Ao Māori. Through exposure to Māori media such as whakaata Māori/Māori TV, irirangi Māori/Māori radio stations, kiriata Māori/Māori film, and pakipumeka/Māori documentaries.
This module is compulsory for all Maori Bilingual Students
Pathway
This module leads into any contexts related to Te Reo Māori/Te Ao Māori.
The continuation of language/Te Reo Māori Bilingual learning is encouraged, if you wish to advance your Reo.

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses.
All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
