Are you
Interested in how things react with each other? Want to experiment with different chemicals? In this course students will learn about and carry out chemical reactions.
Learn how to ask the right questions, use statistics and graphs to find answers, and communicate your findings effectively.

Basic chemistry requires the usage of a number of mathematical skills and concepts
This module is designed to enable and empower tamariki to make real life connections to CheMATHStry concepts. See this link & this one too.
It is highly recommended that you choose the Chemistry/Maths module, (Stop OverReacting), for Trimester 2 as well.
Pathway
This module leads to Tri2 Chemistry and Mathematics & Statistics module and hence . Students are highly recommended to do (Stop OverReacting) in Trimester 2.
By sitting the Externals students can pursue careers that involve mathematics & Statistics and Chemistry at university level e.g. Health Sciences (pathway to medical careers in medicine).

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
Total Credits Available: 13 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 5 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 8 credits.
