Te Ao Māori 3

Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Mrs K. Lousi.

‘Ko te Ao Māori e hahana ake nei, okea ururoatia te reo rangatira me ngā tikanga Māori’.

I whakarewa tē kaupapa nei hei whakamānawa i ngā tāonga tukuiho.

This program is designed to uplift and empower students to be proud of their identity and culture.

Through Te Ao Māori, our tauria will learn Māori performing art as well as manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and whanaungatanga practices which underpin the very essence of this kaupapa. Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga is woven throughout the learning, incorporating tuhi, kōrero, pānui, me te whakarongo with tikanga guiding our learning.

For the continuation of learning, it is recommended that students enrol into Te Ao Māori  for trimester 1 as well as 2 and 3.
