Get on Board! - Physics

Courses Description

Head of Pathway:

Mechanics is at the heart of classical physics and it is the core study of this course. Mechanics also helps us to perfect and explain one of the pacific’s oldest sports: Waka Ama.

In this class we will learn the 4 key areas of Mechanics for the NCEA level 3 Mechanics paper (6 credits, external), and also how these key ideas are applied in the context of Waka Ama (physics in context internal, 3 credits).

Haere mai, get on board the waka. We’re learning physics!

Pathway

This is a vital paper for engineering. It is also useful for anyone who wants to do physics, mechanical work, building, construction, or anything practical.
