Kerehana Coffee 2 - Vocational Pathway

Courses Description

Are you interested in entering the hospitality industry? Are you a practical learner? Do you want to learn an employable skill that will provide you with valuable hospitality experience?

This module will teach you to make cafe quality coffee. It is designed to give you the practical knowledge to prepare espresso coffees in a cafe environment. The skills you will develop in this module include:

  • Basic barista techniques

  • Team work

  • Customer service

Pathway

This will support students in gaining part-time employment or a career in the hospitality industry.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).

All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
