IT Essentials - Vocational Pathway

Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Ms A. Hinson.

Want to become office-ready? Confidence with IT is an essential employability skill. If you’re looking to move into work or vocational training when you leave school, this module will prepare you with the key IT skills you need for the workplace.

In this pathways module, students will participate in a short course with Techtorium where they will gain IT skills and NCEA credits. They will also become familiar with a range of computer applications and learn how to apply these skills to complete the everyday tasks that are required in the workplace.

Students will also have the opportunity to choose one learning unit that connects to their interests. This will support students in developing knowledge towards a specific potential career pathway.

Pathway

This module provides basic IT foundational skills so students can confidently gain entry level office work.
