Overview
- Fridays 9.30 am- 3pm
- Adventure Works in Avondale
- Up to 25 L3 US credits
- Year 12 or Year 13 students
This course would suit students who are looking to enter sporting, fitness careers or the uniformed services. Students who love tostay fit and healthy and would like to challenge themselves and develop their leadership skills.
Topics will include sport and coaching techniques, personal development, teamwork and leadership and include visits to gym environments.

- Uniformed Services trades academy course
- Diplomas or certificates in sports and recreation, coaching, personal training.
- Entry level roles in gyms and fitness centres.

- Anatomy, injury prevention
- Developing exercise programmes
- Time in the gym
- Health and Wellbeing
- High and low ropes
- Mountain Biking - trips out
- Tramps - trips out

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses.
All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
