The Business of Tourism - Trades

The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge of healthcare, psychology and human behaviour.
Students will gain knowledge of the relationship between play and children’s learning. They will examine a social process and implement a social action for the enhancement of health and well-being. Students will gain insight into diversity in the workplace and how to safely move equipment and people to gain further understanding of working in health settings.
PATHWAYS
- Certificates and diplomas in healthcare, care-giving, youth work or education.
- If combined with 3 or 4 university approved subjects at level 3, students could pursue university degrees in health, psychology, education, or social work.

Once a student makes their selections and confirms these, any changes must be accompanied by a letter of support from Whanau and are subject to available spaces in courses.
All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
