Feasibility - Mathematics & Statistics
Courses Description
Head of Pathway: Ms M. Yelkur.
Highlights of this module:
Mathematics and statistics have a broad range of practical applications in everyday life, in other learning areas, and in the workplace.
- Provide sufficient scope for students to demonstrate and develop their own thinking.
Students need to make their own decisions about what to do and how to solve
problems. - It is likely that the opportunity for students to demonstrate all levels of thinking
will be compromised. - The learning in the module gives you the fundamentals of business aspects
such as decision making, planning, production, transportation, technology and
other issues, either to maximise the income or minimise the costs of a production scheme. In the real world the problem is to find the maximum profit for a certain production. Some areas of application for linear programming are food and agriculture, engineering, transportation, manufacturing and energy. - Also the learning in this module helps you develop the ability to use the Statistics Inquiry Cycle to develop Business Management skills.
Remember by selecting this module you are investing your time to optimise your Maths learning opportunities.
By studying mathematics and statistics, you develop the ability to think creatively, critically, strategically, and logically.
