Floods: Avoidable or Inevitable? - Geography

Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Mr G. Van den Hoeven.

You will learn about the water cycle, how floods are made worse, how it affects Auckland, and what can be done to help lessen these effects.

In this course you will read and make maps, design and conduct your own research gathering, take and annotate photographs, think about perspectives, and make judgements about what the best solutions are. This will prepare you for University level geography where it is expected that you will know how to gather, analyse and reflect on data.

You will like this course if you like field trips, thinking about how cities work and how to make them better, and weighing up different perspectives and solutions.
