Comms Central: Podcast - Communication English

Courses Description

Head of Pathway:

Communicating the things you are passionate about is an important skill. There is a special type of communication which has taken the world by storm, allowing anyone and everyone to put their thoughts on the internet… we’re talking of course about PODCASTS.

Podcasts are short audio programs that dive deep into the different interests: Pop Culture, True Crime, Sports, Music, Culture, History… the list goes on and on!

In this communications class you will plan a podcast on any topic of your choosing. You will have to produce a design for a podcast that meets the requirements of a brief. You will have to write a script for your 20-30 minute podcast that is well researched and engaging, and maybe even features interviews and guests?

Taking a full year of Comms Central will not give you a UE approved subject of 14 credits in one subject (because it is a mix of english and media studies) but it will give you UE literacy. This module gives 3 UE writing credits.
