Perspectives on Power - English and History
Courses Description
Head of Pathway: Mr G. Van den Hoeven.
Power shapes our human societies. Who has power and who doesn’t? What happens when powerful people abuse their power? How can we respond? This module will consider these questions by investigating the rise of the Nazi Party and how it affected different groups in Germany. We’ll focus on the Holocaust and what it can teach us about human nature and the use of power.
We will look at how how the Holocaust has been portrayed in fictional texts.
