Courses Description

“What do you call a smart blonde? A Golden Retriever!” 

Stereotypes do more than give us something to laugh at. They can cause real harm. But where do these stereotypes come from? And how are they reinforced?

Communications English is all about how we communicate with each other - but also how the world is communicated to us. 

In this module you will research and  produce a vlog (video blog) with THREE 2–3 minute instalments for a character you have created for a new New Zealand online teen drama. You will then produce a FOURTH 2–4 minute vlog where you provide a detailed discussion of the representation of your character.
