What will you learn?
Power shapes our human societies. Who has power and who doesn’t? What happens when powerful people abuse their power? How can we respond? This module will consider these questions by investigating the rise of the Nazi Party and how it affected different groups in Germany. We’ll focus on the Holocaust and what it can teach us about human nature and the use of power.
In this course you will use learning about historical events to analyse the way people creatively communicate these ideas in films. You will then conduct your own research into the rise of the Nazis, deepening your ability to make judgements about sources.
You will like this course if you want to understand how people can be manipulated into committing inhuman acts, and how we can best protect ourselves from such forces

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
