Marks of Mana - Samoan and Art

Courses Description

Head of Pathway: Mrs K. Lousi.

In this module you will study the marks and patterns of tattoos on women across cultures, particularly in a Māori & Pasifika context. You will get to meet and interact with women who have these taonga, and to learn about the significance and story behind their marks. You will present your findings through Samoan language, as well as visually through a range of visual arts processes and techniques.

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module  (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).

All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
