Courses Description
Head of Pathway: Ms M. Yelkur.
In Kelston Med, we will focus on medical issues in our community, using a range of scientific and mathematical investigation techniques.
You will learn about medical practices - traditional and medical. We will collect data and processed information to come up with solutions, treatment and prevention plans for patients in our community.
This module uses Mathematics as a statistical tool to inquire into health issues that affect our community, how this impacts us and our whānau. We will learn about how to use Number, Statistics in a scientific context.
This is compulsory for Health Science academy students

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
