Courses Description

This module is designed for students to have an in-depth exploration of genetics and structure of DNA while examining its significance and relevance to the students’ Tongan culture and identity. Students will explore, evaluate and develop a comprehensive understanding of genetic principles, DNA organisation and inheritance patterns and how these scientific concepts intersect with Tongan traditions, beliefs and heritage.
This is compulsory for all Health Science Academy students except bilingual Samaon students.

All Junior Bilingual students must select the literacy and numeracy modules in the language of their pathway each trimester and one other integrated language module (3 out of 4 of their modules must be bilingual).
All senior Bilingual students must take all modules available in the language of their pathway.
