Branching Out: Exploring the secret life of plants - Biology

Plants: they're everywhere, but do you really know them? In this course, you will learn about the fascinating world of botany. Discover how plants respond to their environment, from seeking sunlight to defending against pests. 

You will like this course if you enjoy doing experiments. Apply the secrets of plants with ancient indigenous knowledge of Rongoā to create healing balms.

From towering Kauri to tiny mosses, you’ll gain a whole new appreciation for the green world around you. Let's branch out and explore the incredible life of plants!

In this module we will cover 1 internaly assessed standard, and the first half of the External exam (plants part).

NOTE: this module only covers HALF of the external, to cover ALL of the external you will need to take Biology in trimester 2 as well.
